What is fund convergence?
When 3 or more specialist biotech hedge funds independently build positions in the same company, it signals high institutional conviction. These aren't index funds following benchmarks — they're concentrated portfolio managers making active bets.
How many funds need to hold a stock to appear here?
A minimum of 3 tracked specialist biotech funds must hold the stock. We track 20 funds including Baker Brothers, Perceptive Advisors, OrbiMed, RA Capital, and others with deep biotech expertise.
How often is convergence data updated?
Fund positions are updated quarterly when 13F filings are submitted to the SEC (within 45 days of quarter end). We parse new filings as soon as they're published on EDGAR.
What does the trend column show?
The trend column (available with a free trial) shows whether converged funds are collectively adding to their positions or trimming — a key signal of whether conviction is growing or fading.
